Types of classes available

VINYASA FLOW
Vinyasa Flow- Derived from vi “in a special way” and nyasa “to place”, the meaning of Vinyasa literally means, “to place in a special way.” This type of class is meant to blend together the elements of Yoga in a fluid way while linking together each asana, or pose, along with the breath that resembles a flowing dance. A basic understanding or experience is recommended but not required. Some breakdown and instruction on each pose is offered, but a more in-depth description of the poses is offered in the Yoga basics for beginners class.  If you are ready to take a deep dive into your practice then this is the perfect blend of intention, asana and breath.

YOGA BASICS FOR BEGINNERS
Whether you are truly a beginner or just wanting to gain a deeper understanding of each pose, this class is always a great way to start your journey. Take the time to develop proper form and attention to the expression of the asana. This ensures that you can work towards maintaining equanimity throughout your practice, on and off the mat. If you’re coming back from an injury or re-igniting your practice, this form is perfect. Gaining a deeper understanding of the alignment and breath within each asana allows for you to attain the highest goals of the pose and its beneficial attributes.

Prepare for your session

You’ve booked a session! Congratulations, you’re on the way towards building the future you want. Once you have selected a time for your virtual session, booked and paid for that time, you will receive confirmation. If you are new to practicing with Amanda or this is your first time scheduling through this platform, you may be directed to fill out and intake form and look over the policies. In addition to preparing for your session, you will be sent a link and password for Zoom sessions prior to your scheduled group or private session. Here are some helpful tips for virtual sessions. EarPods are helpful for hearing more clearly, or connecting to a Bluetooth speaker so the volume can be adjusted. Make sure your device is charged up. Find a space that you can limit distractions or interruptions and roll out your mat, and have your props if you have them. Connect, sign in and join your session a few minutes before the class starts so you can troubleshoot any technical issues. Take a deep breath and center! See you soon.
