Movement
Movement can be a foundation for providing feedback and guidance. Though movement practices like Pilates, Yoga, functional anatomy, mobility and incorporating mindful movement concepts, we build strength, stability and awareness along with ease. Movement is not simply about body performance or workouts that trigger a stress response from which we need more recovery time from~it is a way of creating a deeper relationship with how you feel and move through the world.
Restore
Restoration is where we create space to slow down, release, and replenish. Through restorative movement, breathwork, mindfulness techniques, Yoga Nidra, myofascial practices, and other body-centered practices, we not only invite the body to let go of constant doing but embody a state of receiving and renewal. This is an important step towards rebuilding and allowing the wisdom of the body-mind to begin to work together. In many cases the nervous system has been overriding any progress and keeping the body in a protective state. Think of this phase as a control/alt/delete and reboot process.
Balance
Balance is about finding your own rhythm between effort and ease, strength and softness, activity and rest. This is where some rebuilding starts to take place, once the nervous system is able to regulate more effectively. This is why finding balance is not a one size fits all approach. It can seem elusive at first but with the foundations of movement, breath and restorative practices in place, goals become less like mirages and more like stepping stones towards the ultimate realization of Self. Through breath, mindfulness, movement and nervous-system awareness, we explore and embody what it means to expand with grounded, present and adaptable energy. Both within your movement practices and in everyday life.
Wellness
There’s not doubt about it, wellness is a buzzword that somehow implies that we must keep adding to our arsenal in order to achieve some image of perfection. In actuality, wellness brings together all the complexities and what seem like imperfections into harmony. In biology, homeostasis is the state of steady and balanced internal physical and chemical conditions being maintained. While it sounds simple enough, there are many facets involved in allowing this to happen. Your program should feel like a collaboration, one that is thoughtfully designed around your individual needs, goals, lifestyle, and current season of life. Some days may call for restoration, stillness, breath, or simply a reset.
Rather than following a predetermined formula, we use these four elements as a framework-creating a dynamic practice that can evolve with you.

Wellness is not a formula, and it doesn’t look the same for everyone. My approach begins with listening-to the body, the breath, the nervous system, and the individual in front of me. From there, we create a practice that supports what you need most, both in the moment and over time. The Amanda Mae Wellness Method, is a personalized approach to movement, restoration, and balance.
